MY STORY
My Purpose
My name is Roberta Giulia Pilla and my biggest commitment in life is to share with people the tools to be able to make the best choices for their lives.
I’m passionate about the unicity of individuals and I strongly believe that our diversity is our biggest strength. This belief comes from my journey in India, when in 2019 I was studying Yoga and Ayurveda in Kerala. These two disciplines are well connected and applicable to our everyday life. Both promote a general sense of balance, aging prevention, thousands of physical benefits, higher energy levels and clarity of the mind.
My holistic wellness programs are aimed to be a long term guide for people interested in living a healthy and balanced life. Taking care of yourself is a process based on commitment, consistency, curiosity and passion.
Ayurveda honors individuality, it recognizes and respects each person’s bio-diversity. Each of our bodies and minds are different and need different nutritional, physical and emotional treatments. That’s why, in my teachings, I’m devoted to the one-to-one approach. Having direct and intimate contact with the person allows me to target the therapy and build the practice directly on him or her. Improvements are faster and I can connect with the person on a deeper level.
Having a personal approach allows me to work with people coming from different backgrounds, different ages and genders. Everyday is a deep exchange of energy and values. Is fascinating how people trust me and rely on me. My presence, combined with the ancient healing techniques, generates the conditions to develop a personal routine, creating a space where they can take care of themselves.
At the same time, I offer multilevel group classes (in presence and online), online counseling and, from 2020, I’m organizing Retreats all over the world, combining my two biggest passions: yoga and cultural travels.
MY STORY
A moment to connect
When I was a kid, my dream was to become a professional ballet dancer. I was so passionate about that, studying everyday for 10 years. But a motorbike accident changed my life direction. At that time I wasn’t aware of that, I was angry with myself and with the entire world. I’ve got depression, I remember I was lying in my bed without doing anything. I lost a lot of weight and my body started to become very weak. One day, I met an amazing therapist who suggested me to start to practice some yoga to recover my body and to bring back the vitality I had lost.
I liked it because it was a different approach to therapy, yoga was treating both the mind and the body simultaneously. In yoga, the body is an instrument to access and connect with the mind. So I decided to incorporate this practice in my everyday life.
In 2015 I started to practice with Giovanni Formisano. Under his guidance I made significant improvements and my curiosity was growing everyday. In 2018, after my graduation in Hospitality and Tourism Management, I decided to go to India to deepen my knowledge in the yoga practice and studies, and to connect more with the Indian culture. I understood many things about myself and about life. I felt in love with the discipline of yoga. It gave me a lot of confidence and healing.
It was a life changing experience, the most important teaching was that we have the power to heal ourselves from inside. We don’t need anything or anyone that tells us what to do, we need to find our own way. Can be sport, meditation, panting, play music, sing, connect with nature. Mine is the holistic approach to health. I love to experience and study ancient techniques and adapt them to our modern lifestyle.
When I came back from India, I felt the need to share what I have learned with my beloved ones. They were fascinated about the oriental wisdom and they immediately felt a positive impact on their health. So they started to suggest my guidance to other people. It ended up in creating a small community that was following me. And day by day, this community was getting bigger and bigger.
Sharing about yoga techniques allows me to connect with my teaching skills. I discovered that I’m really good at conveying information. Yoga teaching is about details, the tone of the voice, the vocabulary, the pace of movements and the posture are so important. I felt very passionate about that so I decided to turn my passion into my full time job.
Now it has been more than 5 years that i’m focused on this teaching journey. Everyday I interact with different people, of different ages and backgrounds and the most rewarding thing is to see positive changes in their lives, due to their commitment to the practice.
